Please have a look at our YouTube movie, demonstrating how to manipulate atoms on copper-nitride. Using this technique we have been able to construct, among others, the following assemblies:
Two chains of each 7 iron atoms, one antiferromagnetic (top) and one ferromagnetic (bottom left).
